According to BS EN 13438:2013, powder coatings for hot dip galvanised or sherardised steel products for construction purposes must meet certain performance requirements. These requirements include colour, gloss, adhesion, resistance to scratching, resistance to deformation, resistance to mortar, resistance to weathering, resistance to humidity, resistance to sulfur dioxide, permeability and resistance to salt spray. Furthermore, powder coatings must also meet health and safety information requirements.
